Associate Membership of Corporate Treasurers

The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) is an organisation of professionals in corporate finance, risk and cash management operating in the international marketplace. The ACT's Associate Membership qualification (AMCT) is globally recognised as a leading qualification in treasury and risk management.

The AMCT qualification has been developed in order to give financial professionals a thorough, pertinent understanding of the issues surrounding treasury, risk and corporate financial management, and is ideal for those working in treasury (either for corporates or Banks) or Bankers wishing to understand their corporate customers.

The AMCT is recommended for:

Professional Qualification

To complete the AMCT, you need to pass or have been exempt from six examination papers. Examinations are held twice a year in April and October and students have up to a maximum of three years to complete the qualification. Exemptions from the first four papers are available for qualified accountants and candidates with previous relevant qualifications.

The minimum educational qualifications that meet the Association's entry requirements are 5 GCSEs or 5 GCEs. They should include Mathematics and English Language. Any GCSEs must be grade C or higher. In addition, students are expected to have a working knowledge or understanding of double entry bookkeeping.

Upon completion, candidates are able to then commence study for the MCT, the ACT full membership qualification. By encouraging participants to apply the principles learnt across a wide range of practical situations, it enhances financial astuteness and career performance.
